St William of York are really pleased to share that we have now successfully achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA). We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our parents and carers for your support, feedback and encouragement throughout this journey. Your involvement has helped us strengthen the partnership between home and school, which makes such a positive difference for our children.
Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA)
At St William of York, we are really proud to have achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) — a nationally recognised award that celebrates schools that work closely with parents and carers.
This award was important to us because we know that when school and families work together, children are happier, more confident and do even better in school. We want every family to feel welcomed, listened to and involved in school life.
Throughout this journey, we gathered parent views both in person and through online questionnaires to make sure as many voices as possible were heard. We also set up a Parent Link Group, with 22 families attending so far, giving us a great opportunity to share ideas and work together. Our parent governors and children also played an important part in helping us reflect and improve.
Following your feedback, we made positive changes to communication, including moving to Instagram, which many families told us was easier and more accessible.
There have been lots of opportunities for families to get involved along the way — from attending Mass and coffee mornings to supporting events such as the Christmas Fair or simply having a chat at the school gate. Every little moment helps build our strong school community.
Thank you again for all your support. We are really proud of this achievement and grateful to have such a supportive school community at St William of York.
