Every year we celebrate Multi-Faith week. Our school is wonderfully diverse, and this week allows us the opportunity to learn more about other religions, with many of our children teaching each other. We know that understanding and respect for our neighbour is key to making the world a more tolerant and peaceful place.
This Autumn, we have enjoyed welcoming our parents in to share their migration stories, celebrate their cultures and share their faiths with us. Our children loved taking part in Djembe Drumming workshops, dressing in clothes that reflected their culture and taking part in many activities to enhance their understanding of the faiths we celebrate in our school, local community and wider world. Some children visited different places of worship and loved sharing their experiences with the rest of the school!
“We have more in common than that which divides us.”
