Prayer and Liturgy happens daily at St William’s and is an integral part of school life. Every week, we gather as a school family to hear and reflect upon the Gospel from Sunday, pray through song and celebrate the successes of our week. In every class, our pupils are responsible for planning and leading their own prayer and liturgy sessions. Each class attends Mass in Church regularly and our Parish priest, Father O’Brien, joins us for school Masses at key times in the liturgical year. Our GIFT team support our younger pupils in leading their own acts of worship and they take a key role in the prayer life of the school.
The children are supported in their spiritual life by many visitors including parishioners and visitors from Salford Dioceses. Children of all faiths and backgrounds benefit from the opportunity to stop, reflect, think and pray and we know that being calm with Jesus contributes to our children’s spiritual health and well-being.
