Reflection on the year ahead…
And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
“Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.”
And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God. Minnie Louise Haskins
This morning was my fist chance to speak with the children at length, since we returned for the new year. We talked for a while about the new year and all it may have in store for us. We reflected on the above quote and one child commented how ‘holding hands make us feel safe’. We concluded that we must make the right choices then put our trust in God. As always, I was amazed by their insightful reflections and contributions – their understanding of God’s love is so simple and uncomplicated.
The turning of the new calendar year is always a stark reminder that we are constantly moving into the unknown. Please pray for our school community in 2018 and we will put our trust in the hands of God.
