LENT

We are well within the Holy season of Lent. Unfortunately, half term coincided with the start of Lent this year so we were unable to celebrate Ash Wednesday as a school community. However, we have marked Lent by making promises to make our common home a better place. All classes have created work for hall displays, each with a focus on the beautiful world that God has given to us and how we can protect it.

The GIFT team have been busy arranging lots of Lenten activity in school. We have used our House Teams as a focus for our charity work. Each week we have focused on a different theme based on our four houses.  These themes are Education, Poverty, Homelessness and Environment. We have chosen a different charity each week and found some way of supporting them through our good deeds.

Thank you for your generosity in helping your children support these worthy causes.

God, heavenly Father,
look upon me and hear my prayer
during this holy Season of Lent.
By the good works You inspire,
help me to discipline my body
and to be renewed in spirit.
