A whole new world!
The two week holiday in May had never been such a welcome break. Not just because we were all tired having worked so very hard in school but because bubble closure had affected us so badly. We were very lucky in the Autumn term to not be affected. However, the delta variant arrived with a vengeance and the first half of the summer term was very disrupted indeed.
We had hoped that by September, things would be relatively back to some sort of normality but I think we are all starting to realise that it may not be that simple. As ever, at St William’s we will continue to keep our community as safe as we can whilst having a ‘can do’ attitude to school life. Keeping life as familiar and normal as possible has been our aim throughout this pandemic and what we can do, we will do! All the things that make our school such a wonderful place to be will remain, even if they look a bit different than they did before.
It is indeed a whole new world in lots of respects but one that we will navigate with the very best interests of our school community at heart.
