Happy New Year
Happy new year to all our school community. The new year has got off to a flying start here in school and we are very excited about 2019 as it holds so much promise for our children
We start the new year with exciting history topics being taught from Nursery all the way to year 6. Our youngest children will be working with a local home for the elderly as they investigate different stages of human life. Educational trips have been booked for all classes to really help topics come alive for our children and give them a real sense of what it was like to live in that particular historical era. Look out for a letter detailing your child’s class trip.
Our year 6 children are working harder than ever and are approaching their studies with maturity beyond their years – we are very proud of them.
All in all, despite the miserable weather and dark nights, St William’s continues to be a shining, welcoming light in our community. It is a very special place to be.
I apologise for neglecting this blog over much of the autumn term but I have been busy teaching our wonderful year 3 children.
A New Year’s Prayer
Lord, You make all things new
You bring hope alive in our hearts
And cause our Spirits to be born again.
Thank you for this new year
For all the potential it holds.
Come and kindle in us
A mighty flame
So that in our time, many will see the wonders of God
And live forever to praise Your glorious name.
Amen
